The Perfect Pot of Tea

There is, in fact, an art form and a science to bringing the brew to perfection. The perfect pot of tea is far more than just pouring boiling water over some leaves.
The first step is to fill your tea kettle with cold water. Always use fresh water, and don't rely on old water that has stayed in the kettle from the last time. Turn the kettle on to boil. Make sure your kettle is a stainless steel, non-reactive vessel.
While the kettle is heating, fill your clean teapot with hot water. (Since the polyphenols in tea can go rancid if they are left in the pot, making your tea taste bitter, it's important to wash your teapot thoroughly after each use….unless, of course, you're using a Yixing teapot!)
Essentially, you are pre-heating the teapot, a process which helps keep the tea warm and allows the leaves to open fully. Dry the teapot out after it has been warmed with the hot water.
Pick your pleasure and select the tea leaves you are going to use. In general, use 1 teaspoon of loose tea for each cup, placing the leaves into your infuser. If you're making tea for more than six people, add one extra teaspoon of leaves for the pot.
Bring the teapot to the kettle so that heat is not lost, and then pour the boiling water over the tea leaves in the pot. Use the teapot's lid to hold in the steam and properly steep the tea. For black teas, the proper steeping is three to five minutes.
Allowing the tea leaves to steep for more than five minutes, or pressing or squeezing the wet tea leaves can result in a bitter taste because too many of the polyphenols are released. Stick to the time-honored formula of a teaspoon per cup. You can't make a perfect pot of tea by using poor quality leaves and increasing the amount of time it steeps, or by using more tea and steeping it less time.
Herbal tisanes and green teas require five to ten minutes of steeping.
In England, and for many tea lovers, making tea by the cup instead of in the pot - is improper and taboo.
While you may never earn a perfect 10.0 at the Olympics, or find the absolute perfect match-made-in-heaven, it's easy to make the perfect pot of tea.

Can't Stop Smoking, Start Drinking Tea!

Let me start off by saying, that this is not an article about how to stop smoking. In a way, it is quite the opposite. Whether it is a pipe, cigar, or cigarettes, some of us have found that we are smokers. Maybe you have attempted to quit, and maybe you haven't cared enough to try. Either way, the truth remains, "I am a smoker." If this sounds familiar, then you I write this for you.
It came to me one afternoon, when I was trying to fight off a sore throat, and I held my pipe in my left hand, and searched for my lighter with my right…I shouldn't be doing this. I have had this sore throat for a week, and I can't stop smoking.
And more importantly, was now able to balance the scales. Though this moment was quick, it was important, as it was then that I accepted my fait. Well, the truth was the truth, and I really didn't have intentions of stopping…Slowing down, yes; stopping, no.
Smoking makes you look old, smoking causes cancer, smoking smells, smoking makes your teeth yellow, and a million other STOP SMOKING ads rushed through my head…
I accepted them all…
Ok, now what…Well, I began to think. With a sore throat nagging me at the moment, I decided to attack this enemy first. Mouth wash, medicine, vitamins; I found these were all good ideas. But although I was helping the issue, my throat still hurt, and I was beginning to cough.
Perhaps the coughing was a blessing in disguise as I reached for cup of tea to help stop a fit of coughs. The steam helped me breathe, and the hot water cleared my throat. If nothing else, this experience got me thinking.
I looked further into the matter, as I of course stepped up my tea intake.
I found out that drinking tea, Rooibos Tea and Jasmine Green Tea in particular, will help me to relax (calming down my nerves), contain large amounts of anti oxidants to fight against the increased level of free radicals in my body from smoking (the cause aging skin and of course, Cancer), clean my body of toxins, help me breathe, and help my previously mentioned sore throat. I looked at this list, and the STOP SMOKING ads returned…
And as I end this article with no promises, I will restate a simply written statement that proves itself time and time again, "Drinking tea is a good idea…" And NO, I do not think drinking tea will protect me from all ailments, or that I will never get sick again, or I will avoid any other ill drawn fait that may await me, but with certain facts that I had to accept, I can only do my best to minimize the damage. From personal experience, I have found that tea helps. Could it be that a pot of tea was a helpful accessory walking down this smokey path??

4 Steps to a Robot's Tea Party

These are the robots that scour the internet listing website pages and storing them to provide the database for their search results. Yahoo and Google, though, have always taken a long, long time to bother to crawl your website with Googlebot and Inktomi Slurp. Yahoo and Google, and increasingly MSN. Yahoo and Google, and increasingly MSN.

Most search traffic is likely to come from Yahoo and Google, and increasingly MSN. But what can seem worse, not even the search engines are in a hurry to come visiting. No, or very few, visitors come to the site. Millions of new websites, many of them intended to be commercial, are created every year and then…………nothing happens.

Creating a new website is only the first stage in what is a long, arduous process to internet success.
It's become like a From that day, GoogleBot, Inktomi Slurp and more recently MSNBot have been meeting every day, sometimes several times a day, on that website. They had both been before, but only briefly and intermittently for the couple of months I had been developing that website. From that day, GoogleBot, Inktomi Slurp and Googlebot were crawling my relatively new site within hours. They had both been before, but only briefly and intermittently for the couple of months I had been developing that website.

From that day, GoogleBot, Inktomi Slurp and Googlebot were crawling my relatively new site within hours. They had both been before, but only briefly and intermittently for the couple of months I had been developing that website. When I first tried this method last December, 2004, Yahoo's Inktomi Slurp and Googlebot were crawling my relatively new site within hours.

Yahoo have, for a long time, offered a quick way to get the search engine robots coming to your new site quickly.
I had a new site I had been revamping from my original draft, and wanted to get quick results, and I was not to be disappointed. I kept it on my mind for several months before I decided to do something about it in December. I had read about Blogging, and the effects on search engine robot behaviour, in the middle of 2004. Well, it's not really a secret.

What, then, is the secret?
Here are the steps that I took to entice GoogleBot, Inkomi Slurp and MSNBot:
When signing up, ensure you give the correct details of your website and the access details Blogger will need to place on your website an HTML file and an Atom/XML file of your Blog. I signed up at Blogger.com to create a new Blog. 1.
Try to use the best keywords for your website in the titles of this and subsequent posts. Write your first Blog and post it. 2.
3. Go to Feedburner.com. This is not an essential step, so you can skip it if you prefer. I use Feedburner for all my feeds. Feedburner will convert your feed (Blog) into the most suitable format for the reader, depending on which RSS viewer they are using. While RSS is not new, the ways in which it can be displayed are still in a state of evolution. Let Feedburner keep up with those developments and display your feed in the most appropriate way. Also, Feedburner provides some useful statistics.
More people are latching on to this idea now, and there is no guarantee that this method will still be as effective when you read this. Don't be too concerned if they are not as quick as they were in my case. Inktomi Slurp and Google should come visiting your website very quickly. Make sure you submit your Blog url (or Feedburner url if appropriate) to My Yahoo and Google first, followed by as many of the others as possible.

Go to http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55/ where you will find a list of RSS/Blog directories. 4.
How to Keep the Search Engine Robots Coming to Your Website
There are many more, though, for you to choose from. I like http://www.ezinearticles.com/ , and I use them for my own articles and to find others. If you just do a search for "article directory xxxxxx" (xxxxxx being your subject or keyword), you are sure to find some very quickly.

You can find many article directories on the net. This can be done with your own original articles, or the articles of others who have agreed to syndicate their work. Having baited the robots to visit your website, it is now up to you to keep them coming back, so they will by attracted to your site too.
